time to catch up

Pardon for the delays, the summer and all of it's events took hold of me by surprise. Along with the normal duties of recording, writing, and blogging there's a world of music and people to explore and to keep up with.

We left off about a month ago when we had just finished the plywood on the roof. A lot has happened since then; musch of which I have been absent between New York, Bonnaroo, and Nashville.

After the last blog, we spent some agonizing time on the roof capping off the felt paper which goes on just before the shingles.

We then called in the the strike force:

Unfortunately, they ran out of shingles. (and we just got the remainder today)

After the shingles were installed, we put on the "homewrap." It's a synthetic paper that is water resistant, but still allows some breathing.
Then came the windows and doors.

In comes the brick!

While I was gone Dad worked on the basement walls, the staircase, and anything required for bricking. The showers and tubs came in. Monday, we carried them in and began framing around them.
